So I'm the one behind the camera, my roommate is the one in the boots, and halfway through the shoot she looks down and says, "Is that a syringe next to my foot?"
Yes, yes it is. Because we live in an excellent part of town.
"Good thing I'm wearing the stomping boots," she says.
"We'll fix it in post," I says.
Thorin boot caps made out of 9 oz leather, wet formed and corner-stitched along the sides, dyed black and then rub-n-buffed. Precariously attached to my shoes for the duration of this photo shoot with a strategically placed piece of double-sided tape on the toe, because that's how I roll. The boots themselves came from a shop in Harajuku, years and years ago, and it is just a happy accident that shoving some fur under the straps makes them look so much like Thorin's boots.
